Seeding is a technique or procedure by which teams are distributed within a bracket such that the top seeded teams have a better opportunity to be the victor. An example is if you have 4 teams: 1 would play 4 and 2 would play 3.

Now just enter your teams scores and advance them to the next brackets until you have one winner at the end. Some bracket maker software will do this for you or you can just print out your blank brackets and write in the scores and winners.

Background

I wrote the Tournament Bracket Builder program because I could not find a simple bracket maker program on the internet to suit my needs. I just wanted a simple program to create brackets for family get-togethers when we have friendly horseshoe or pool tournaments (hence, why it only goes up to 32 players - which is still quite a stretch even for my family;-)... So please keep this in mind when using it. Please do not ask me to add round robin, dates and times for the matches, or similar "extravagant" options, as this is beyond the scope of the program. But suggestions for simple updates and corrections are always welcome.

All files are high-quality PDF files and will not lose their quality when printed at larger sizes, so you can print them as larger than the displayed sizes if you wish. They will stretch as large as you want with no loss of clarity or quality. If you'd like to print them larger but don't have a printer capable of printing them at the desired size, just bring the files to a print shop near you on a USB memory key or some other disk, and they should be able to print them at any size you want.
